- "You may go ahead and command me, Your Holiness. No need to be polite," Rhett said, fully aware that Mackenzie was far from ordinary. He had already figured that when he saw her studying the map earlier—her outward strategy was just a front; she had several layers of plans beneath it.
- "Alright." Mackenzie didn't hesitate. She spread the map out on the small table and explained carefully, "According to Captain Dempsey's intel, the bandits fled northwest from Silvergate, and there are seven possible routes they could take. But given how much they stole, they'll need vehicles to transport the goods, which eliminates four of the routes. That leaves them with only three options. The westernmost route runs close to our main forces, and since they have a mole within our coalition, they'll know our movements. They won't risk taking that path, as we could easily cut them off with a slight change in direction."
