• ISABELLE’S POV
• The king leaves my neck and pushes me towards the floor. I put my hand on my neck as I try to inhale as much air as I can. Now my neck is in pain too. My breathing is irregular along with the beating of my heart.
• “I wanted to punish you for doing this but I want to be generous to you because I love you. I am going to give you two options, Isabelle. You can choose only one of them. I have thought about this a lot and now I think I can be this generous to the woman I love. It is your choice which you want to choose”. I look towards the king with my blurry vision. I cannot see his face clearly because of the tears.
