Li Yuanxi wanted to dive under to find out why her leg was stuck, but in the yellow mud and strong current, she could only keep her eyes shut. She was very lucky as there was a fallen tree lying horizontally on the river. It had just been blown down by the strong winds.
Li Yuanxi immediately grabbed onto the roots of the tree and leaned one side of her head on it. With the help of the buoyancy in the water, she did not have to exert too much energy to stay afloat. Other than her head, her whole body was immersed in the yellow river. A wave rolled in occasionally and splashed her face, leaving yellow mud on her cheeks and eyelashes. Li Yuanxi’s leg was stuck and she could not pull it out, but because the water current was too strong for her to dive in, she could only stay in the water in an awkward position.
