• As soon as I read the brief message, I let out a sigh. I thought I could pull it off by coming to work late without him knowing, but it turned out I couldn’t. Now, I have to face his wrath. I walked out of my office, breathing nervously, and stopped in front of his office. I stood at the door for some seconds, trying to regulate my breathing, and I was able to calm down. I knocked on the door, and I heard his deep voice tell me to come in. I took deep breaths in and out to calm my nerves before opening the door and stepping into the office.
