He had called me over, saying he was bored and wanted to see my face. I was reluctant to go at first, because of how he had shunned me the night of the game, but I decided to come anyways. I knew he was going to call me over sooner or later, and here it was.
• "Wow," he said to me. I was seated on his lap so by now, we were staring at each other. There was a moment of silence for a few seconds before he finally spoke. "I'm sorry about the other night, Lara. I knew you were pissed, but I was just not in the right mood for the discussion you were about to start."
