Chapter 23

• When they got to the bar, Ace parked off to the side and led Olivia to a back door with stairs going right up to the apartments up top. This way, they wouldn’t have to walk through the bar and send any tongues wagging more than they already had.
• Inside, Olivia took a moment to look around and found it clean. Ace had little clutter, but it was a man’s apartment. Still warm and homey, Olivia thought as Ace pulled his jacket off and threw it over the back of the couch. Now they were in his apartment… home alone, just the two.
• “Would you mind if I used your bathroom?” Olivia asked.
