Chapter 23

  • For the second time that day, Willow opened the door to Scott's walk in closet. Scott had gone to work and was not in the room, but he had left keys for her. As soon as she walked into the closet, with her bags in tow, she was struck with an overload of Simon's essence. The smell of him filled every cranny and it threatened to make her dizzy with want. She remembers how he kissed her that morning and she shivered with goosebumps. She drops the bags on the floor and proceeded to look for space to hang her clothes. In the end, she had to push some of his clothes together and hoped he wouldn't mind as he had been the one to suggest this move. When she finished sorting and hanging all the gowns and dresses and jeans, and arranged all the shoes, it was well past afternoon. As she made her way out, something blue caught her eye and she stood. It was a baseball cap. A blue baseball cap — the one he had been wearing the night they met. The very night he had saved her. At first, she gave the cap a tender flick, but then she picked it up and moving to a full length mirror, she wore it. It looked good on her, but she decided it looked much better on it's owner.
  • "What are you doing?" Willow gasped as Scott's reflection came to join hers in the mirror. When did he come in!? She couldn't believe she had not heard him come in. How exactly does he walk silently?
  • "I… I was just checking this." Willow says, looking at him as she removed the cap.
