Chapter 3 Supreme Vip Cardholder

  • Dwayne swiftly entered the VIP Customer Service Area of Elysium Bank.
  • A well-dressed man in his thirties sat at his desk, sipping coffee and working on his computer. When he saw Dwayne, he was momentarily taken aback.
  • Elysium Bank was a renowned first-class bank that catered to millionaires, influential individuals, and other high-ranking members of society. However, the VIP Customer Service Area was even more exclusive.
  • Typically, the customers he served were middle-aged men in their forties or fifties, successful in their careers. They wore designer clothing and accessories from top fashion labels. He had even seen a customer wearing a Patek Philippe watch worth over 1.7 million!
  • However, Dwayne stood out from the elite and wealthy customers he was accustomed to. Aside from his young age, his clothes were remarkably ordinary. In fact, calling them ordinary would be an exaggeration; they were extremely worn-out, having been used for three to four years.
  • Nevertheless, the man quickly composed himself. "Greetings, sir. May I ask who you are?" As the VIP Customer Service Manager of Elysium Bank, he had a certain level of self-control and didn't react like Deborah outside.
  • Dwayne inwardly nodded. This is more in line with Elysium Bank's image! Trying to remain calm, he replied, "I'm here to withdraw my money. Where can I find the fingerprint authentication machine?"
  • The manager's heart skipped a beat, and he instinctively stood up. "Fingerprint authentication?!" As the VIP Customer Service Manager, he knew that Elysium Bank's cards were divided into five categories: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. However, there was a category above the Diamond Cards—the Supreme VIP Cards. Rumor had it that Supreme VIP Cards had no card number and could only be authenticated with fingerprints!
  • Aaron Baxter had been working at Elysium Bank for over ten years and had been the VIP Customer Service Manager for four and a half years. Yet, in all that time, he had never encountered a Supreme VIP Cardholder in the bustling city of Andridge. Sometimes he even wondered if there was an error in the document issued by the bank's headquarters. The document clearly stated that the bank had customers with Supreme VIP Cards and that all branches worldwide had fingerprint authentication machines. However, he had never witnessed anyone using it with the rumored Supreme VIP Card!
  • And now, this young man with shabby clothes was asking for fingerprint authentication!
  • Although Dwayne didn't appear to be a Supreme VIP Cardholder, Aaron didn't dare dismiss him. He immediately turned around and retrieved the fingerprint authentication machine from the safe in the corner.
  • Dwayne wiped his fingers, feeling somewhat excited. Finally, after over 20 years, I've made it! His hand trembled as he extended his left thumb and pressed it onto the fingerprint authentication machine.
  • Beep!
  • In an instant, a message appeared on the fingerprint authentication machine. It read, 'Dear Supreme VIP Cardholder Mr. Dwayne North, welcome to Elysium Bank!'
  • Aaron's eyelids twitched in disbelief. Looks can truly be deceiving. This young man before me is indeed a Supreme VIP Cardholder of our bank!
  • Having worked at Elysium Bank for years, he knew better than anyone else how difficult it was to become a VIP Cardholder. He had no idea how to apply for the Supreme VIP Card, but even the requirements for the Diamond Card were stringent enough to exclude 99.99 percent of the world's population!
  • To become a Diamond Cardholder, one needed a net worth of 1.5 billion, a deposit of 500 million at Elysium Bank, a certain social status, and three existing Diamond Cardholders to jointly apply with them. After a year-long review, the bank would approve their application.
  • Having a net worth of 1.5 billion alone was an extremely high barrier, not to mention the other criteria. Those with billions in net worth were prominent figures on the list of the world's richest people!
  • Becoming a Diamond Cardholder came with exceptional privileges at Elysium Bank. These included round-the-clock concierge services, VIP seats at global events, exclusive privileges at top private clubs in major cities worldwide, and more.
  • Most importantly, Diamond Cardholders became important members of Elysium Club, an exclusive private gathering organized by Elysium Bank for the world's wealthy. Being a member of the club meant enjoying enormous benefits from the club's connections, which was the most enviable aspect of being a Diamond Cardholder!
  • One could become a member of Elysium Club as long as they were a VIP Cardholder of Elysium Bank. However, only Diamond Cardholders could organize and lead each gathering, as their status and position in society were highly revered in the club's circles!
  • If becoming a Diamond Cardholder was already challenging, one could only imagine how stringent the requirements were for the Supreme VIP Card. Perhaps it requires a net worth of at least 15 billion?
  • Aaron was puzzled, but fingerprints couldn't be faked. This young man before him was the first Supreme VIP Cardholder he had ever encountered—and perhaps the only one!
  • Little did he know, Elysium Bank was owned by the North Family, and Dwayne, the seemingly destitute young man before him, was one of the family heirs!
  • Aaron nervously swallowed as he looked at the fingerprint authentication machine. "Mr. North, according to the message displayed on the fingerprint authentication machine, you currently have access to 1 billion in cash. However, it seems that another Supreme VIP Cardholder has locked your other privileges and funds…" he reported, his face filled with shock.
  • No doubt about it—this must be Dad's doing! thought Dwayne. But he wasn't the least bit displeased. 1 billion is more than enough for me to spend for a long time. Besides, I can always rely on Dad for more allowance once he returns from abroad. "That's alright, I'm aware of this. Can you please withdraw 150 thousand in cash for me first?" He waved his hand dismissively and took out a black plastic bag from his pocket, tossing it to Aaron.
  • Looking at the worn-out plastic bag in his hand, Aaron couldn't help but want to frown and laugh at the same time. This is a bit too casual, isn't it? However, seeing the way Dwayne was dressed, he shook his head with a sigh. The minds of these top millionaires are simply unpredictable! "Please wait a moment."
  • A moment later, he returned to Dwayne's side with the bulging black plastic bag in his hand. He said respectfully, "Mr. North, all the money has been packed in the bag for you."
  • Dwayne nodded lightly before taking the black plastic bag and casually weighing it in his hand. I must admit, 150 thousand in cash is quite heavy. Before he left, he seemed to remember something. "I recall that Elysium Bank offers a service where it will fulfill any request from its cardholders. Can I enjoy this privilege?"
  • Aaron nodded enthusiastically. "That's a benefit for Diamond Cardholders, so naturally, as a Supreme VIP Cardholder, you are entitled to it too!" he replied. "Mr. North, feel free to ask us for anything!"
  • All of a sudden, a mischievous grin spread across Dwayne's face. He whispered a few words to Aaron.
  • Aaron lowered his head and listened attentively, his face showing surprise. However, he refrained from saying much. As soon as Dwayne finished his sentence, he replied, "Please rest assured, Mr. North. I'll take care of it for you right away!"
  • "Great!" Dwayne patted his shoulder before walking outside with the black plastic bag in hand.
  • In the lobby, Deborah was still standing there anxiously, occasionally glancing at the VIP Customer Service Area with a heavy heart. That poor guy has been inside for quite some time now, and there's still no sign of him coming out. If my boss finds out about this, will I lose my job?
  • The next moment, though, she saw Dwayne come out with a worn-out plastic bag in hand. "You! Stop right there!" At this moment, she dashed over to him despite the risk of spraining her ankle in her high heels. Grabbing his wrist, she yelled loudly, "How dare you enter our bank's VIP Customer Service Area, you poor guy! What's in the bag? Tell the truth, or I'll call the police!"
  • Jack also blocked Dwayne's path, looking righteous. "That's right! Catch him and hand him over to the police!"
  • Just then, Aaron came up behind them. He had wanted to see Dwayne off and use the opportunity to make contact with him, but he didn't expect to see Deborah pounce on the man and grab his hand as soon as he followed him out of the office. Not only that, but she even berated Dwayne in a loud voice, which instantly made him nervous! "Deborah! What are you doing?! Let go of him!" he barked angrily.
  • Deborah was startled. So, this poor guy did cause trouble for Mr. Baxter in there! She hurriedly explained, "Mr. Baxter, I failed to prevent this poor guy from entering our VIP Customer Service Area. Please punish me for this!"
  • Jack quickly chimed in beside her, "Mr. Baxter, it was this idiot who insisted on entering without permission despite Miss Sharp's attempts to stop him. This had nothing to do with her. It was entirely his fault!"
  • "Let go of him!" Surprisingly, Aaron didn't pay any attention to Dwayne at their words. Instead, he glared at Deborah, thundering, "I'm telling you to let go! Didn't you hear me?"
  • "Huh?" Dumbfounded, Deborah subconsciously loosened her grip.
  • Aaron turned to look at Dwayne apologetically. Bowing respectfully, he apologized, "Mr. North, are you alright? I'm sorry, this is my mistake! Are you hurt?"
  • Deborah was stunned. What's happening here?
