Chapter 222 In The Midst Of Nature

• "Would you like to go home now or is there somewhere else you'd like to be?" Knight asked once I was out. I remained silent as tears began to flow down my face again. "Cassie...." He called holding my shoulders gently. "Look at me." I shook my head not wanting to face him looking like that. He pulled me into his arms and hugged me again, stroking my hair so gently that I felt consoled. "You're going to be fine, I promise you." He said and was able to get me to calm down.
• "Take me to the beach." I said and he did still for some seconds. That seemed to be random but that was what I felt I needed at this point. The wind of the beach hitting against my skin, the sand roughing on it. The wavy water underneath my feet. I just wanted to feel it all. The beach gave me a sense of freedom. I wanted to feel free.
• "We'll do that if that's what you want." He said and took me by my hand leading me to the car. The drive was an hour and half but we got there while the sun was still in the sky. Night would befall us soon but I didn't mind, as long as I got to have my experience.
