• I watched as Alpha Lothar stood up in all his majestic glory and began to walk slowly to where I was. My heart was beating fast, threatening to fly out of my chest. The whole place had gone silent and everyone was waiting for his reaction and verdict. No one has realized that we were mates. I should be thankful for that. I would silently be rejected again without ne put 8h about it.
• My breath caught in my throat and I could not breathe when he came to a stop in front of me. It was disrespectful of me to look him in the eyes. I was supposed to bow my head or something, but I couldn't look away. I looked up at the Alpha Lothar who was towering over me at six feet, five inches. He was more handsome up close. More handsome than when I had seen him from Azalea's window riding on a horseback or when he was still seated on his throne. He was the most handsome man I have ever laid eyes on.
• His green eyes held mine and I could not look away. My wolf was clamoring behind my mind where I had forced her to, to jump on Alpha Lothar, but I was unable to do that. It would bring me to my death quicker.
