Chapter 9 The New Diana Says Fuck Kelvin!

• The next day, Diana came to work wearing glasses to cover the injuries around her eyes that were still healing. The look she was getting from everyone made her wonder, if they already knew that she's wearing it just to hide how creative her husband was.
• Maybe Jessica has been getting real cozy with the others, and told them what was going on in her marriage, but Dianna didn't want to think that she might actually do that. Yet, her argument with her yesterday might have been the reason why she ratted out on her.
• “Diana, you are here.” Editor Lin, the team leader, saw her when she walked into the office before handing her a series of documents. “Photocopy these for me and sort them all out according to the date.”
• She was instructed before the woman left, since she got this job she hasn't done any real or important task that would make her feel like truly she was an editor, but it was only based on the part that she was an intern.
• Also, the assistant team leader was harsh on newcomers like her which made her day worser, yet she didn't want to give up because it there's anything she loved more than her life, that is her dream of being an editor and she knew that one day she will achieve that here at J&C publishing company.
• She kept her bag down in her seat, before taking the necessary things she would need and made her way to the photocopying room where she met tons of interns like her, who were busy with the machine. So, she will just have to wait for her turn.
• “Can we talk?” Jessica barged into the office, walked straight at her which attracted the attention of others.
• Looking at Jessica, it was very obvious that she didn't have a good night's rest and that made Dianna feel bad.She owes her an apology, because she's the only real person in her life so without wasting any more time she left the room with her.
• “Jessica…”Dianna wanted to talk, but Jessica raised her hand, cutting her short.
• “Let me go first please?” She begged, before rubbing her hands together and looked up at Diana. “ I made a terrible mistake by making a joke of your predicament, and i want to apologize for doing that, but i didn't mean for you to get angry at me, Diana. I just wanted you to understand that i am trying to help you.”
• Jessica cried.
• But Diana didn't let her say more before hugging her. “I understand, I'm sorry for slapping you.” She apologized, which made Jessica smile against her shoulder before pulling away from her.
• “So, does that mean that we are friends again?” Jessica asked, as if she was dumb. Of course they are, she's the only friend she had.
• When Diana nodded, Jessica did a joyful leap in the air which made Diana smile. If only she could be this happy like Jessica.
• “Did you hear from the team leader? We are going on a workshop in the city for three days.” Jessica said excitedly, as Diana's face creased up in confusion.
• “No, no one told me that.” She said, a workshop in the city? That would mean she will be far away from Kelvin. That would mean that she wouldn't have to put up with his boring ass even if it's just for three days.
• “Yeah, the assistant team leader was meant to relay the message to the interns, but do you know the exciting part about it all?” Jessica asked, clapping her hands while daydreaming in front of Diana, who still didn't understand the reason for the sudden workshop.
• “We get to party on the last day, you and I. There's this famous club in the city…”Jessica rambled on.
• “Jessica!” Diana called her back to reality.
• “What's the workshop all about?”
• It made Jessica raise her brow at her, while wondering if she wasn't working here. “It's still a secret but…”
• Jessica came closer to whisper in her ear. “The famous writer, Xavier Kings will be publishing his new story in our company, not only that he needs an editor so everyone is trying their best to be picked by him, do you know what that means? Have you seen Xavier, gosh!”
• Jessica said, fanning her face while Diana was lost because she wasn't a fan of social media, so no! She doesn't know this famous Xavier Kings.
• “The news isn't out yet, but i hope he gets to pick the team leader, because she will get to form a team to work alongside her and i will get to see Xavier, my prince charming .”
• Jessica has always been a delusional somebody, but Diana figured out that's why her life was easy yet she couldn't imagine how she's planning on seducing Xavier Kings, because from the way she speaks of him it seems like he's a celebrity.
• “As if there's nothing special about him, so please…''Diana ssid, already bored of her talks about her crushes. She remembered she still has a lot of documents to photocopy, and she needs to know if the others are done inside.
• “Well, I'm not surprised that you are this way, Xavier Kings is every woman's dream man.”
• “Yeah, not mine.” Diana said without giving any damn care if he's the president's son or what, because she's done with men. Right now, she just wants to focus on her dreams.
• Jessica, who understands where she's coming from, has to drop the topic about Xavier and entwined her arms around hers.
• “The point is i get to spend time with my best friend at the workshop, and you get to live a normal life away from that bastard, Kelvin. For once, I just want you to be happy.”
• “And going clubbing will make me happy?” Diana asked, folding her arms. She just wasn't interested in what Jessica was offering, but it didn't seem like Jessica was planning on dropping the talk anytime soon.
• “Until then, so you get to park your things tonight. There will be a bus ready tomorrow morning, and please don't tell me you need Kelvin's permission to leave?”
• The formal Diana could have said that, afterall she loves Kelvin to the moon not to care about ruining her marriage, but that was in the past.
• The new Diana says fuck Kelvin!
• “i am my own person, I don't need anyone's permission to live my life.” She said, as a matter of fact, she's serious about this because she isn't planning on telling him about this workshop. It's not like he will grant her the permission to go because he always has stupid reasons to hold her back.
• But this isn't about Kelvin, or their failing marriage. This is about what she lives doing , this is about her dream!
