• We had to sit together on one of the beds to watch TV after having showers and getting ready for bed. I wasn't sure about how to act. She solved my dilemma by sitting down next to me, gently touching her leg to mine. I put my arm over her shoulder. She let out a breath and collapsed into me. She was a line of warmth from calf to her head that rested on my shoulder. If I was comforting her, she was doing something entirely different to me. Yes, shit, she was exciting. *Can't be. Can't be. * I couldn't pull away. Not simply that it would hurt her, but because I didn't want to. *Shit. Shit. Shit. *
• We didn't watch TV for very long. We knew that tomorrow would be a long day: closing, moving in, the movers arriving...
• It did, indeed, turn out to be a long day, and we were thoroughly tired when we stopped at about 10. The pool was supposed to be heated, but it wasn't working. Diane, being an electrical engineer, soon found the problem and got the heater working. Should be good by tomorrow.
