• The parents returned three days before the wedding. As did our grandparents (two sets) and one set of great grandparents. We appeared to be set to go. Brandy wanted a Clerk of the Court to marry them. We hired one and discussed what Brandy wanted in the ceremony. She wanted it to be complete, with the same vows that June and I used, our father giving her away, bouquet and garter tosses, and asking for objections. The clerk readily agreed with everything except the tosses.
• The last couple of days took forever to pass. Finally, on a beautiful Saturday morning, an even more beautiful Brandy walked down the aisle of the rented hall, on Dad's arm. Even this big, bad ranger had a tear in his eye.
