• Sean went back and forth like that in his head for a solid half-hour, until he realized that he'd missed half the episode. He scowled and restarted, resting his elbow on the couch arm and holding his face upright on his knuckles. Something flickered in the backyard, and a few seconds later thunder boomed. A minute or so later, thick heavy drops began to pelt the glass windows on his back patio.
