Chapter 9 Pranking on Cassandra

  • "What are you all waiting for? Get the hell in there!"
  • The remaining thugs exchanged looks and ignored Carey's order.
  • It was obvious the other guy was a skilled fighter, and only a fool would step up to get beaten. After all, their wages weren't enough to cover hospital bills.
  • Carey's face darkened after seeing his command go ignored, and his anger burned even hotter.
  • "You're all useless! I'll do it myself!"
  • He grabbed a wine glass from the table and charged at Troy, his face twisted with rage.
  • Bang!
  • Troy delivered a sidekick before he could even get close, shattering the bottle Carey was holding.
  • With a mocking smile, Troy taunted, "Mr. Lloyd, I might let you go just this once if you're willing to beg and apologize."
  • Being publicly humiliated like this, Carey's eyes flashed with venom as he shouted, "Go to hell, you poor b*stard!"
  • He raised the broken bottle and attempted to stab Troy.
  • Smack!
  • The crisp sound echoed through the room.
  • Carey was dumbfounded, feeling the stinging pain on his cheek. No one had ever hit him before in his entire life.
  • Completely losing his mind, he charged at Troy again like a madman.
  • "I'm going to kill you!"
  • Smack!
  • This time, the sound was much louder. Then, Carey collapsed to the floor, spitting out a tooth along with some blood.
  • However, Carey still didn't back down even after being beaten like this and continued to spew threats.
  • "You've messed with the wrong person! Prepare for my revenge! I'm not only going to sleep with your woman, but I'm also going to kill your whole family!"
  • Troy hated threats more than anything. Hence, he pressed his foot down on Carey's neck, slowly increasing the pressure, his eyes brimming with murderous intent.
  • Once and twice were fine, but there wouldn't be a third time. This guy had repeatedly crossed his line, and there wouldn't be any more chances!
  • Lia quickly stepped forward as Carey was on the verge of suffocating.
  • "Don't kill him! There are too many people watching. It'll cause big trouble!"
  • Although Troy wasn't particularly worried about the so-called trouble, it was different for Cassandra and Lia.
  • Cassandra's business would be ruined if this brainless rich kid died here.
  • Moreover, Lia was a member of the National Directorate of Security. The consequences would be unimaginable if she turned a blind eye to this and let the law be broken.
  • Troy snorted coldly, "Consider yourself lucky today!"
  • With that, he kicked Carey, sending him flying toward his thugs. Then, Carey passed out cold when he hit the ground.
  • "What are you waiting for? Get your young master out of here!"
  • The thugs didn't dare stay any longer, so they hastily picked up Carey and fled the restaurant in a panic.
  • As the troublemakers left, the crowd gathered to watch the commotion also began to disperse.
  • Lia walked over to Cassandra and asked with concern, "Cass, are you alright?"
  • Cassandra was still fuming about that kiss.
  • I know it was all an act, but does he really need to go so far and use his tongue?
  • Lia understood exactly what was going on after seeing the look in Cassandra's eyes as if she wanted to devour Troy alive.
  • "Cass, it's not convenient to talk here. Let's go to your office, and I'll explain everything."
  • She shot Troy a glance, then dragged Cassandra to the elevator without waiting for her to agree, heading straight for the office.
  • The atmosphere inside the office was a bit awkward.
  • Cassandra was getting more irritated after seeing Lia and the strange man who had stolen her first kiss exchanging glances.
  • What's going on here? Are they playing some kind of love triangle game, and they've dragged me into it?
  • "Lia, who the hell is this guy? You better give me a perfect explanation today, or I'll make you pay!"
  • Lia couldn't help but feel a bit mischievous seeing Cassandra so agitated.
  • With a sly smile, she teased, "Cass, you've been working too hard. I was worried about your health, so I hired a handsome gigolo for you.
  • "Besides, you're not getting any younger, you need to let loose and enjoy life. Don't worry, I've already tested the waters, and he's pretty good. Moreover, he's cheap, just ten thousand bucks for the whole night."
  • Cassandra stared at her in disbelief.
  • Ten thousand bucks? I can buy an entire set of equipment for just a few dozen bucks! Besides, he is a secondhand good she has already tried.
  • The more she thought about it, the angrier she got. Putting her hands on her hips, she glared at Lia and shouted, "I can't believe you're this kind of person, Lia!"
  • Lia wasn't offended by the scolding and instead laughed even harder.
  • After all these years, this was the first time she had managed to pull one over on her Cass. It felt incredibly satisfying.
  • Yet, feeling it wasn't exciting enough, and shot another secret glance at Troy.
  • Being the shameless rascal that he was, Troy immediately understood what she meant.
  • With a wicked grin, he started walking toward Cassandra.
  • "Beautiful lady, life is all about pleasure. Don't worry, I've mastered all the moves. I won't charge you a cent if I miss a single move!"
  • Lia must have lost her mind. Why is she paying money for this kind of nonsense?
  • In a huff, she turned around and stormed out of the room.
