Chapter 8 The Fight

  • She saw Lia winking at her just as she was about to break free. Hence, she assumed the man was part of the security team and stopped struggling.
  • Carey didn't expect a man to show up halfway through, and seeing them holding hands made him instantly furious.
  • "Who the hell are you? Let go of my woman!"
  • Troy smiled and said, "Cassandra has been my fiancee since childhood. Since when did she become your woman?"
  • He would've slapped this scum who was bullying his wife to death already if it weren't for Lia's repeated reminders of not making the first move unless the other side did.
  • This was to avoid causing Cassandra unnecessary trouble.
  • Carey's face showed displeasure after hearing Troy's words.
  • He had investigated Cassandra's background and knew she had no one to back her up. This guy was just here to stir up trouble.
  • "How dare you think you deserve to be Cassandra's fiance? Do you have money? Do you have a car? Do you have savings?"
  • "No."
  • Hearing Troy's simple and straightforward answer, a sinister smile appeared on Carey's face. "Then who the hell do you think you are? Get lost now if you know what's good for you. Or else, you won't be able to handle the consequences!"
  • "It's because my name is Troy."
  • Cassandra was momentarily stunned upon hearing this, and her heart trembled slightly.
  • Before she could react, Troy had already pulled her into his arms and pressed a hard kiss onto her lips.
  • Her lips were soft, sweet, and exquisite.
  • Her lips are truly top-tier, the best of the best!
  • Upon witnessing this scene, the entire restaurant went silent. Quite a few young women watching couldn't help but feel envious.
  • Cassandra snapped out of her daze, completely flustered that a strange man had forcibly kissed her.
  • Blushing, she pushed him away.
  • Then, Troy wiped the corner of his mouth, smirked at Carey, and said, "Not only am I not leaving, but I also kissed her right in front of you."
  • As a spoiled, rich son of a wealthy family, a playboy, and a shameless flirt, Carey took pride in seducing virtuous women and ruining them.
  • Carey started trembling with anger after seeing his woman kissed by someone else right in front of him.
  • He hadn't even touched her hand yet, and now someone had stolen the kiss right before him.
  • His heart felt icy cold, and there was no way he could remain calm.
  • "All of you, get him! Cripple that guy!"
  • The hired thugs couldn't stay idle any longer when their young master gave the order. They rushed at Troy with fierce determination.
  • Troy protected Cassandra behind him, and seeing the waiters trying to block the thugs, he shouted, "Everyone step aside! I'm about to show off!"
  • The waiters had been trembling in fear as the thugs charged in, but they quickly stepped aside after hearing Troy's words.
  • Even the onlookers instinctively backed away, leaving a clear open space.
  • Troy took a step forward and rushed toward the crowd once everyone had moved.
  • As he closed the distance, he leaped into the air and landed a flying knee right into one of the thug's chests.
  • Then, the thug was sent flying backward with the sound of bones breaking, crashing into his companions and causing several of them to fall over like dominoes.
  • As soon as Troy landed, he was already among the thugs. He delivered a swift spinning kick to another thug's neck before they could react.
  • Bam!
  • The thug collapsed straight to the ground, his head smacking the floor in an embrace, knocking him out cold.
  • As Troy retracted his leg, two more thugs took the opportunity to rush at him from behind, aiming kicks at his head.
  • Thinking they had the element of surprise, they were shocked to see Troy turn around like a ghost, his lips curling into a wicked smile.
  • Fear gripped the two thugs, as if time around them had slowed. Yet, it was too late for regrets.
  • Troy didn't retreat and swiftly kicked out at their shins, disrupting their balance.
  • The two thugs lost their footing and stumbled toward Troy.
  • They thought the nightmare would end if they just hit the ground, but little did they know, the real nightmare just started.
  • Troy took one step forward, bent his leg, and drove his knee into one thug's chin.
  • At the same time, he twisted his waist and unleashed a spinning kick, striking the other thug in the face.
  • The force of the blows sent their teeth flying out of their mouths, their bodies launching high into the air.
  • After that, the two thugs crashed onto the surrounding tables and chairs with a loud smash as Troy calmly stood back up.
  • In a short while, more than half of the thugs had been taken down, and the remaining thugs didn't dare to advance any further after seeing the state of their comrades.
  • Carey snapped out of his shock.
  • He hadn't expected this man to be such a formidable fighter.
  • How can I ever show my face again if I don't regain my dignity today?
