Chapter 16 What Should I Call You

  • Troy had looked into Louie's background the previous night. He immediately recognized her.
  • The young man beside her was continuously groping her, making Louie tremble with exaggerated laughter.
  • After a while of flirting and playing around, Louie finally slumped against the young man, out of breath.
  • "Did you fail?" the young man asked the thugs kneeling before him.
  • The thugs, their faces pale with fear, nodded while trembling. "Everything was going smoothly until some random guy showed up and ruined it all."
  • Before the young man could respond, Louie lost her temper and lashed out at the thugs.
  • "Useless fools! You couldn't even capture that b*tch! What good are any of you?"
  • Despite the anger in their eyes, the thugs didn't dare retaliate. They could only grit their teeth and hang their heads in silence.
  • Once the room fell quiet again, the young man spoke up, "Did any of you mention me or Louie while you were held in the National Directorate of Security?"
  • Louie clearly cared about this as well. Being a public figure, any negative rumors could significantly affect her image.
  • The thugs quickly shook their heads. The leader of the group said, "Mr. Palmer, I swear we didn't say anything."
  • Satisfied with the answer, the young man continued, "Did anyone give you trouble while you were in the National Directorate of Security?"
  • At this, the thug leader found a chance to vent his frustrations. "There was this fierce woman named Lia. She was relentless, trying to get us to confess. She seems pretty close to the woman you wanted us to capture—probably her sister."
  • Upon hearing Lia's name, the young man's memory clicked. He sneered as he said, "She's just a low-ranking officer. If she dares to dig too deep into me, I'll make sure her reputation is destroyed."
  • As he spoke, he squeezed Louie's chest roughly, causing her to cry out in pain.
  • "Ah!"
  • Although clearly in pain, Louie put on a façade of enjoyment.
  • The young man's frustration was palpable. His reasons for targeting Brittany were different from Louie's. After all, no man wouldn't want to conquer a woman as stunning as Brittany.
  • "Regardless, find that meddling guy for me. I'll make sure he suffers for sticking his nose where it doesn't belong."
  • Bang!
  • Before anyone could react, the villa's door flew off its hinges, slamming onto the floor with a loud thud.
  • Everyone turned to see two figures, a man and a woman, stepping into the living room.
  • The man stood tall, exuding a dangerous and captivating aura, while the woman was striking, her curvy figure and sharp features standing out. Her tight-fitting shirt clung to her body, barely containing her.
  • The thugs, still kneeling, were stunned into silence. They pointed at the two newcomers but were unable to utter a word.
  • The young man wasn't some clueless playboy. From the way the man had kicked in the door, he could tell this was someone skilled in martial arts.
  • "Who are you?" the young man asked.
  • Troy casually glanced at the young man and smirked. "I'm the one who ruined your plans. I thought I'd save you the trouble of looking for me."
  • Lia remained silent, but her uniform said enough about her identity.
  • Upon seeing that the one who had ruined their plans had come straight to their doorstep, Louie immediately exploded in rage.
  • "So, you were the one who saved that b*tch? We hadn't even come to find you, and yet you dare show yourself here?"
  • As she finished her words, the young man slapped her hard across the face.
  • Louie clutched her burning cheek and stared in disbelief at the young man, who had just raised his hand against her.
  • "When I'm talking, you don't interrupt. You're nothing more than a dog here. If you don't listen to your master, you'll be punished."
  • Although anger flickered briefly in Louie's eyes, she quickly hid it and stood aside, remaining silent.
  • The young man turned back to Troy. "So, what should I call you?"
  • "You don't have the right to know my name," Troy replied fearlessly.
  • "Oh, really? Don't you know knowing more friends can broaden your path? If you don't broaden your path, you'll end up falling one day. Once you fall, there's no telling if you'll survive.
  • "If you become my friend and stand on my side, I can give you whatever you want. Even my woman—if that's what you desire."
  • As the young man spoke, he slapped Louie's rear suggestively, giving her a meaningful look.
  • Louie understood immediately—the young man was offering her to Troy, hoping to seduce him into joining their side.
