Chapter 15 Get Revenge for Brittany
- As soon as Troy mentioned the case, Lia's temper flared up.
- "Don't even bring it up. Those guys are tougher than rocks. No matter how much we questioned them, they refused to say a word. They didn't even admit to knowing that woman, Louie. In half an hour, their detention time is up, and we'll have to let them go."
- Troy had expected this outcome. He offered a suggestion, "Lia, do you want to get revenge for Brittany?"
- "Is that even a question? Of course, I do," Lia replied without hesitation.
- "Great. I'll head over to the National Directorate of Security in a bit. We'll make sure Brittany gets her revenge."
- Without giving Lia time to ask more, Troy hung up. He washed his face, tidied up his appearance, and left the villa, hailing a cab to the directorate.
- Luckily, it wasn't rush hour, and the cab made it to the directorate in just 20 minutes. Before he even got out of the car, Troy spotted Lia waiting at the entrance.
- She looked stunning in her uniform, accentuating her figure perfectly.
- As soon as Troy stepped out of the car, Lia spotted him. She waved and called out, "Hey, creep, over here!"
- Today, Lia had put on a bit of makeup, making her features even more striking. If she swapped that security uniform for some ancient armor, she'd look like she'd stepped straight out of a historical epic.
- Troy couldn't help but let his imagination run wild. "Lia, it seems you have developed quite a bit…"
- Lia eyed him suspiciously. "Spill it. What kind of sneaky plan do you have in mind this time?"
- Glancing at his watch, Troy asked, "Do you have a car?"
- "Yeah. Why?"
- "Let's talk in the car. It'll be easier when we get into action."
- Curious but uncertain about what Troy had planned, Lia led him to her car.
- Once they were inside, Troy leaned back in his seat lazily, keeping an eye on the entrance of the National Directorate of Security.
- "So, what's the plan? Aren't we supposed to be getting revenge for Brittany?"
- Troy checked the time again. "It'll all make sense in a few minutes."
- Realizing she wouldn't get anything more out of him, Lia decided to make small talk instead.
- "I heard from Kath that you got Cass drunk last night. How many moves did you pull on her?"
- Oh my! How is Lia always this bold?
- "Lia, you've got it all wrong. Nothing happened between me and Cass last night."
- "Please, with your pervy little ways, there's no way you didn't try something. You've been a troublemaker since you were a kid—that's how you're called a creep.
- "Besides, Cass is at the age where she should be settling down. Don't you think you should consider making her yours?"
- Her suggestion seemed simple and reasonable, but it was a dangerous trap. Answering carelessly would definitely lead to trouble.
- "Lia, do I seem like the type to take advantage of someone? If I were to make anyone mine, it'd have to be you first. After all, a woman as radiant as you is impossible to resist."
- Lia rolled her eyes as she pouted. "You're a liar. You're so full of it, creep."
- Even though she said that, there was a hint of delight in her smile. Her mood had clearly lifted.
- Oh, women!
- As they continued their playful banter, a group of men emerged from the National Directorate of Security. They were nursing their arms, clearly the same thugs Troy had taken down the previous day.
- Lia noticed them. "Creep, you were waiting for so long for these guys?"
- "Exactly. If someone really put them up to yesterday's stunt, they're going to report back to their boss. All we have to do is follow them, and we can track down the mastermind. Then, once we catch them, we can give them a proper beating and get Brittany her revenge."
- As they spoke, the thugs got into a cab. Without waiting for Lia's response, Troy urged her to drive. They followed the cab as it sped away from the directorate.
- The cab eventually entered a gated villa community, stopping in front of a secluded property. The thugs got out, cursing under their breath as they headed inside.
- Troy and Lia parked around the corner, out of sight. Once the thugs were inside, they crept over to the villa's window.
- Peering inside, they saw ten bodyguards in black suits standing in the room. The thugs were kneeling before a short, well-dressed young man, clearly a wealthy scion.
- On the young man's lap sat a woman dressed provocatively, her skirt so short that half of her backside was exposed.
