Chapter 12 Living Together
- After thinking it over, Cassandra nodded and said, "Then, just stay at my place. I live alone, and it gets pretty boring. At least you can keep me company and chat with me."
- Troy couldn't refuse such a golden opportunity.
- We're going to live together. Just the thought of Cass walking around at night in lace pajamas, swaying her hips—I can't handle that.
- With nothing much to do that afternoon, Cassandra took Troy around Kingsbury, showing him the sights and passing the time.
- As the evening approached, Cassandra had some work to attend to, so they returned to the hotel. She remained busy until late into the night.
- After that, she drove Troy back to the villa.
- By this point, neither of them had eaten, so Cassandra said, "Creep, tonight I'll cook for you myself. Whatever you want, I'll make it happen."
- In fact, Troy was thinking about devouring Cassandra. He said with a smile, "Whatever you cook, I'll love it."
- "Such a smooth talker." Cassandra chuckled as she headed into the kitchen.
- Cassandra was a skilled cook, though she rarely prepared meals herself due to her busy work schedule, often opting for quick takeout. However, with Troy having been away for 10 years, she was more than happy to prepare a feast just for him.
- Soon, a variety of delicious dishes covered the table, filling it completely.
- Troy, seeing the spread, was deeply moved. Every dish was one of his favorites.
- Despite all the years that had passed, Cassandra had never forgotten what he loved to eat.
- Taking the first bite, the overwhelming flavor brought tears to his eyes. It's still the same taste—absolutely delicious.
- "Cass, thank you for putting so much thought into this meal for me."
- Watching him devour the food, Cassandra felt both heartache and amusement. The heartache came from knowing that, to her, these were just simple, everyday dishes.
- What has this boy been through over the past ten years?
- However, the important thing is, he's back—safe and sound, still the same person I know. His heart is unchanged.
- It was a reunion between the long-lost siblings. Naturally, they spent their time with wine.
- As they drank, Cassandra reminisced about the difficulties the seven sisters had faced over the years.
- Troy drank as he listened. Whether due to emotions or the alcohol, he, the usually strong drinker, began to feel a bit tipsy.
- With the last of the wine poured into his glass, Troy raised it and declared, "Cass, I have something to say. I'm sorry for causing you all so much worry and pain over these past ten years. I swear, it won't happen again. Ten years ago, you all protected me. Now, it's my turn to protect you."
- Cassandra, also quite drunk, smiled hazily as her face flushed. Before she could respond, she slumped over the table, fast asleep.
- Afraid that she might catch a chill, Troy carried her to the bedroom. Nevertheless, due to the effects of the alcohol, he lost his balance and fell onto the bed with her.
- Both of them ended up asleep in a tangle.
- Troy wasn't sure how long he slept, but when he finally stirred, he opened his eyes to find two large objects pressing against his face. No wonder he had trouble breathing in his dream—he had nearly been suffocated by Cassandra's chest.
- Gently moving Cassandra's long legs off his body, he sat up slowly. It had only been two hours, but glancing at her, he was met with an incredibly suggestive scene—her disheveled clothes made her look even more alluring.
- She was beyond seductive.
- Troy gave Cassandra's leg a soft nudge. "Cass, wake up. It's time to use the bathroom."
- When she didn't respond, he nudged her again, his hand moving higher. "Cass, are you still asleep?"
- There was still no reply. Evidently, Cassandra was out cold.
- Unable to control himself, Troy boldly placed his hand on her thigh and began to squeeze.
- It was soft.
- Just as he was getting carried away, Cassandra slowly woke up, her sleepy eyes locking on him. "Creep, what are you doing?"
- Startled, Troy panicked and fumbled for an excuse. "I was sweating and feeling sticky, so I wanted to ask where I could take a shower…"
- Cassandra pointed in the direction of the living room. After watching him leave, she mumbled some sleep-talking words and fell back onto the bed.
- …
- Meanwhile, Kathleen arrived at the villa.
- She had heard from Lia about what had happened at the hotel earlier, including the rumor that Cassandra had taken in a boy toy. Egged on by Lia, she decided to come over to check on Cassandra.
- Nevertheless, as soon as she stepped inside, she was shocked. There was an extra pair of men's shoes at the entrance.
- Meanwhile, she heard a man singing in the bathroom. "Hold your hand, and let's go together. Hold your waist, how seductive you are!"
