Chapter 11 Brittany's News

• Feeling the warmth in her palm, Cassandra knew she wasn't dreaming this time. Tears welled up in her eyes once again.
• She gently stroked Troy's cheek and said, "Creep, you've grown up. You're a big boy now!"
• Troy stroked the back of her hand and responded, "Cass, you've also grown. You're even fuller than when we were kids."
• Hearing this, Cassandra poked Troy's forehead and annoyedly said, "You're still as glib-tongued as when you were a kid. You haven't changed a bit after all these years, you little rascal!"
• Troy grabbed Cassandra's hand and replied affectionately, "Cass, I still want to sleep with you after all these years."
• "You're so annoying."
• Lia, who had been watching from the side, couldn't stand it anymore.
• The two of them might start rolling on the floor before her if things kept going this way. She spoke up awkwardly, "Cass, that's enough. At least wait until I leave even if you two want to do it. I'm still here, you know."

• Afterward, she grabbed Troy and Lia's hands and rushed out of the office.
• The three of them chatted and laughed in the room, asking Troy about his life over the years. Troy spoke only of happy things, pretending he had been doing business abroad, without revealing his true identity to them.

• Lia nodded. "Yes, we found some clues from the thug's surveillance records although they didn't confess. Last night, they met with a woman named Louie Wyatt. However, we don't know what they discussed.
• "Since we don't have any evidence, we can't bring her in yet. We'll have to investigate a bit more. Alright, I'll handle this first. Cass, keep an eye on Creep, and don't let him cause any trouble."
• After saying goodbye, Lia kissed Troy on the forehead before reluctantly leaving the private room.
• "Cass, do you know that woman named Louie?"
• Cassandra had shown a hint of confusion when Lia mentioned the woman's name earlier, which Troy had caught.
• "You're quite sharp, noticing even such small details. You've really grown. Yet, I wouldn't say I know her. I've just heard about her from Brittany.
• "Louie used to be a popular celebrity, but she got fired for acting like a diva during one of her shoots. As luck would have it, the director unexpectedly chose your sister to replace Louie as the lead actress.
• "Your sister even won the Best Newcomer Award for that movie, and that's how she made her mark in the entertainment industry. Because of that, Louie has hated Brittany ever since. Louie has quit the entertainment industry and now works as a live-streaming sales host due to her indulgent lifestyle."
• Troy finally understood after hearing the backstory. Louie is definitely involved in the situation. There are surely others pulling the strings behind her.
• Cassandra's voice interrupted Troy's thoughts.
• "Creep, where are you staying now? Is it at Donald's place?"
• "Cass, I just got back today and haven't found a place yet. As for Donald's, I'd rather not. That old man has such a foul temper. We'd probably be at each other's throats all the time if we lived together."
