Chapter 11 Eleven

• The noise was low and shuffled. I had to place my ears close enough to the door to hear it. When I twisted the doorknob, it was locked from the inside, which meant someone or a group of people was inside.
• I had thought of walking away since school had closed, and I really don't want to get involved with anything. Whatever made them lock themselves in there must be a secret, and I already have a lot to be worried about.
• Just a few steps away from the door, it was like a heaviness in my chest, and I couldn't bear to walk away. It was as if someone important to me was in there.
