• Karina was hook up to all sorts of machines. The heart monitor still beeps to her heartbeat, but the line on the screen is almost flat with large gaps between each bumps. Indicating her fading but still beating heart. I take her hand in mine and fall on my knees.
• “Karina please, you can’t leave me like this. I love you baby. Please come back to me.” My plead are but whisper moans. The monitor begins to beep rapidly. Fear grips my heart as I watch the flat line on the screen.
