Chapter 46 {A Looming Presence}

• As Sir Thomas walked away from the prime hall, his expression darkened with a mixture of anger and calculation. He had been played, and he knew it. Diana had been too smooth, too practiced in her deceit. He couldn't shake off the feeling of being manipulated, and it irked him to no end.
• He quickly hid behind a flowery bush, his eyes fixed on the hall's entrance, waiting for Diana to emerge. When she finally did, his smile turned into a deathly smirk. She was good, he'd give her that, but he was better. He knew how to win a maidens heart and he was going to do just that. He was not just known as the playboy for nothing.
• Sir Thomas stood up from behind the bush, his tall figure imposing as he watched Diana walk away. The smile on his face was replaced by a cold, calculating stare.
