Chapter 6 Finish These for Me
- Although he did not know what kind of illness Mellie was suffering from, it was not wrong to do so.
- Ding! "Likeability with target increased by 20. Overall likeability level is 10."
- "Did Han have a change of heart?"
- After confirming it with his eyes, you met…
- "We're family. Don't open your mouth…"
- Mellie finished her soup and set the bowl on the table.
- "Thank you, Felix. That was delicious."
- Felix rolled his eyes, "It's good that you like it, Mrs. Evans." Felix remembered something, then took out an envelope from his bag.
- "This is Han's scholarship, Mrs. Evans. He left school in a hurry that day, and the teacher told me to give it to him when he couldn't find him."
- Mellie's eyes lit up in an instant. She did not care about how much money was in the envelope, but she looked at her son proudly.
- "I didn't…"
- Felix cleared his throat, "If you don't trust me, Han, would you like Mrs. Evans to call the homeroom teacher?"
- After speaking, he took out his phone and fiddled with it.
- Mellie smiled and said, "You're Hannie's best friend, why would he doubt you?"
- Felix turned to Han and nodded, "Yeah, I thought so too."
- Seeing that Mellie went to the bathroom, Han frowned at Felix, "What's going on?"
- "You said you don't have time on the weekends, so is it fine if you tutored me during lunch break?"
- "Your dad can hire any teacher you want." Han turned away.
- Felix looked at him seriously and said, "I just want you to teach me, is that too much to ask for?"
- …
- On Monday during lunch break, Han took out the important notes for the first and second years of high school that he sorted out in the past two days. He felt that the materials were necessary for Felix.
- "Let's start…"
- "Thump!"
- There was a huge lunch box on the table, Felix smirked, "Let's dig in."
- He unscrewed the lid and removed the inner compartments one after another.
- The food was still steaming. Felix took out his cutlery and began to poke at his food.
- "Why is there beef in my lunch box? I don't like beef."
- "Tch, I don't like braised pork either."
- Han twitched his forehead as he listened to Felix's complaints.
- As he saw Felix was about to pick them out and throw them away, he finally spoke up.
- "Your housemaid doesn't even know what you dislike in your meals?"
- Felix shrugged, "She only remembers what my stepbrother likes."
- Han froze and said nothing.
- Felix took out another pair of cutlery, "Help me finish these off, or I'll have to spend all lunch break eating these and you wouldn't have time to teach me."
- Han did not answer. Felix touched the back of his hand and said, "You really won't help me finish these off?"
- Han took the cutlery and avoided eye contact. He then thanked Felix reluctantly.
- Ding! "Likeability with target increased by 5. Overall likeability level is 15."
- Both of them finished the food. Han's appetite was a lot bigger than he imagined, and Felix was sure to remember that.
- They started their tutoring session after eating.
- "Have you memorized all the elements of the periodic table? Recite it to me." Han decided to start with the most basic topic.
- Felix shook his head, "I've never memorized it."
- Ding! "Likeability with target decreased by 5. Overall likeability level is 10."
- "Huh?"
- He could hear the system laughing at him in his mind.
- Han gave him a cold look and Felix had no choice but to memorize the periodic table tonight.
- "Let's look at this question first…"
- Felix noticed that Han was patient and gentle when he was giving lessons. It was unlike his normal self.
- However, his patience only lasted for a while when Felix started to work on questions.
- "Are you sure that's the answer?" Han's fingertips started to turn white as he was pointing at the question.
- Felix scratched his head and chuckled, "It should be right."
- He knew that it was the wrong answer.
- Han picked up the pen and drew a big circle on Felix's third step, "You're doing it right up until this point, it's just simple addition and subtraction in the next step, how could you get it wrong?"
- Felix grinned and was unconvinced, "It means I have progress."
- Han looked at him and sneered, "What progress? You remembered the formulas in high school but forgot the basic operations in middle school? Does your brain have the capacity of only 10KB?"
- Han regretted teaching him. He felt that the tutoring fee Felix gave him was his allowance.
- Felix regretted it more than Han but he could only comfort himself as a poisonous tongue was better than a tight jar.
- Both of them had lessons the entire afternoon.
- Felix was happy when the bell rang as he was ready to sleep in class.
- "Get up and focus in class," Han said sternly.
- Felix looked sad, "But I don't understand what’s going on."
- "Just focus."
- Felix threw himself on the table angrily.
- "Our tutoring sessions are canceled."
- "Alright, alright, I'll focus. Okay, Mr. Evans?" Felix gritted his teeth.
- Felix took out his textbook from his desk and opened it forcefully.
- When he flipped through the book, Han smirked but it vanished in an instant.
- The both of them carried on with their tutoring sessions and Felix felt that he was exhausted from pretending to be a delinquent.
- The only consolation was that their likeability level would increase as time went on.
- However, Han was hard-to-get, and his likeability level with Felix would only increase bit by bit.
- At lunch, Felix brought a rotisserie chicken and zucchini to Han.
- "I don't like zucchini."
- Han was used to Felix as he was a picky eater.
- However, he found that sharing food with Felix was better than having other dishes.
- Han thought of Felix's cooking skills and had an idea, but did not show it. He continued to eat.
- After taking a bite of the chicken, he grabbed the other vegetables quicker.
- "How does it taste?" Felix asked as he grinned.
- However, Han only nodded his head and kept silent.
