Chapter 12 We're Both Men

• Felix struggled to get up while clutching onto Han’s arm as he spoke in a cold voice, "Put the cigarette out."
• When Luke noticed how furious Felix was, he flicked the cigarette away as he said, "Why are you still standing around? Didn't you hear what Mr. Felix said?" It was only then did the other men throw their cigarettes away.
• "What should we do now, Mr. Turner?" Luke closed the door as he said that. The group of men were startled as soon as the door slammed shut. One of them said, "Look, we have laws here. None of you are getting away when the cops arrive."
• However, that statement only made Luke laugh as he said, "Why don't you take a good look at who we are." He pointed at a few people and said, "They don't mind jail time, but they will hunt you down as soon as they get out."
• This startled the man as he stuttered, "Let's… Let's just talk it out." He handed a cigarette over to Luke as he said that.
• Luke scoffed and slapped his hand away as he said, "It's up to Mr. Turner to decide if he wants to talk things out with you."
• Felix glanced at the man and picked up the stool that he was hit by before approaching him slowly. This terrified the man as he moved backward and said, "I am your uncle, Felix!" He retreated behind Luke and said, "I… I won't ever bring up the house ever again."
• Han glared at the man before smashing the stool on the man's leg, causing him to fall on the ground. However, he was not done as he continued to pummel the man to a pulp. Luke was intrigued by everything.
• "Han." Mellie called out to him which made him stop as he tossed the stool to the ground. The man continued to scream in pain. So, Felix shot Luke a glance. Luke yelled, "Shut up!" He slapped the man's face and said, "I will cripple you if you dare cause trouble again." He continued, "Scram!"
• So, the man stumbled out of the door without looking back. Felix transferred the money immediately after they left. He said, "Treat the boys to something nice, Luke."
• Luke smiled and said, "Will do. Just call me if they dare to start trouble again." They left after that.
• Mellie said, "You need to get Felix to the hospital, Han."
• Felix smiled at her and said, "I'm fine. I just need to rub some ointment on my back." He had scanned his body earlier and knew that he was completely fine. He assumed he had just bruised his back and would rather sleep on his own bed than spend time in a hospital. However, Han was unwilling to let him brush his injuries off. Without warning, Han carried Felix on his back. Mellie was busy cleaning up by the time they returned.
• "You should rest, mom." Han placed Felix on his bed and brought some buns over to Mellie. Han entered the room with some ice packs after they had their dinner. He said, "Take your shirt off."
• Felix laughed and said, "Are you really going to ask me that bluntly?"
• However, Han did not appreciate that joke. So, Felix took his jacket off and laid face down on the bed.
• Han frowned when he noticed the bruise on Felix's back.
• "Ouch." Felix gasped when the ice pack was placed on his back. After a brief pause, Han said, "Why did you block the attack for me?"
• Felix looked awkward when Han said that, so he replied, "Are you seriously asking me that? Do you expect me to just watch you get hit?"
• "Why didn't you just push him away?" asked Han.
• Felix blushed and said, "I was lost in the moment. I reacted before I could think."

• After Han was done applying the ice pack on Felix's back, he poured Felix a glass of water so he could have his medicine. After that, he tucked Felix in before cleaning up the messy living room. Felix spent the night in Han’s home. He wore Han’s old pajamas and waited for Han on his bed.
• Soon, Han was done with his shower as he entered the room with a blanket. Felix moved aside while Han placed the blanket down before switching off the lights. Felix asked, "Why did you switch off the lights when you haven't even changed into your pajamas yet?"
• Han ignored his question. However, soft rustling sounds could be heard. It was the sound of Han changing. Felix pouted and said, "Come on now, we're both men. Why are you so afraid of me peeking?"
• Han climbed into bed after he was done changing. Felix was finally able to see Han’s face when his eyes finally adjusted to see better in the dark. Felix said, "I can't sleep."
• However, his statement was ignored by Han. He continued, "My back hurts…"
• Han immediately got out of bed and switched on the bedside lamp when Felix said that.
• "What are you doing?" Felix asked.
• "I'm getting the ice pack."
• Felix was speechless by how naive Han was, so he said, "Come on, your mom is already asleep. Are you not worried about waking her up?"
• Han paused and returned to the bed.
• "No, keep the lights on. I can't sleep, so let's talk." Felix inched closer to Han when he said that.
• Han looked away and asked, "What do you want to talk about?"
• Felix pondered for a moment and realized just how boring of a person Han was.
