• Chris paddled to the edge of the marina, hoping that Greg had it on video, then turned and headed for the dam, her shoulders already aching from the effort she'd expended. She knew that there were buoys and cables to keep boats from getting too close to the dam. She paused at the barrier for a moment, then turned to make her final run to the parking lot. She saw Greg waving at her.
