Chapter 7
- Dagmar
- Uncle James asks which of the Packs owns that piece of land and the three Alpha’s look at each other with a puzzled look.
- “It does not belong to one of our Packs.” Another young man says. This young man is Alpha Jonas’ son, Leon. With the admission that is not their land, I step forward and look around the room.
- I ask Alpha Jonas why they are using land that does not belong to them and if they know those whom it does belong to. Alpha Nathan is the one to answer me. “Not that it is any of your business, but the Pack it belonged to was slaughtered, many years ago. No survivors. So, we just started using it.”
- Looking him in the eyes, I say: “I am Dagmar Hunter, Daughter of Alpha Benjamin of the Blue Moon Pack.”
- And the entire room goes quiet. And at that same moment the door opens again, three Council members walk in, and they are not looking pleased. Before anyone can say something, one of the Council members turns to me.
- It is then that I recognize Council member Eva. She came to see me after I had reached Uncle James. She had written down the events of that day and had made sure that our territory was signed over to me.
- Meaning that no one could do anything with our territory unless they had my permission. And because of that reason she was here, after all the Packs had taken my land and build on it without my permission.
- If they had asked, I would have let them use it. I was not using it and I did not even know if I would ever come back. Alpha Adam rises from his seat and turns to the Council members.
- Looking at his face anyone can see that he is not happy. He knows that he is in trouble. But the most satisfying thing is that we will be able to put things right for the Omega’s.
- Maddox
- When James asks them which Pack owns the territory, I know Dagmar will be able to reveal who she is. And I am going to enjoy the looks on their faces once the realization sinks in.
- None of the Alpha’s fail my expectations, they had not seen that one coming. A smirk appears on Rico’s face when he also sees their faces.
- Then the door opens, and I see three Council members walking in. One of them is Council member Eva, I met her when she came to see Dagmar after she had fled her territory.
- I get up and walk over to her. “Council member Eva, it’s nice to see you again.” I say. “Pleasure is all mine, Alpha Maddox. I just wish that the reason of this visit was a pleasant one.” She responds.
- Then she introduces the other Council members and I remember meeting Council member Oren, when I was a young boy. Council member Leah turns to Dagmar and asks her to take a walk with her. I wonder what that is about, but I refrain myself from asking.
- Dagmar
- Council member Eva introduces the other two members as Leah and Oren. Council member Leah asks me to take a walk with her and I follow her out of the room.
- As we walk out of the room, I see Maddox glancing my way and I give him a small nod. We leave the Pack-house and start walking down the road. I have no idea where she is leading me, but I follow her.
- When she starts to speak, I realize we are out of hearing range. “What else is on your mind?” she asks and I look at her in surprise. How did she know that there was more?
- “These Packs have been flying under your radar for some time now. They abuse and mistreat their Omega’s.” I say with a sigh. Then I start telling her about Lily and the other Omega’s I have seen.
- I explain that we have not seen any Omega’s from the other Packs, but that it would not surprise me if they were treated the same. Council member Leah turns to me, and I see anger flashing in her eyes.
- Before I can say anything more, she turns around and heads back to the Pack-house. As we walk back, I see that Lily is walking towards us and by the looks of it there is something wrong.
- Walking closer to her I see tears running down her cheeks and she is holding on to her arm. When she sees me, she wants to turn and run, so I do the one thing I know that will make her stop.
- “Lily, stop.” I boom in my Alpha voice, and she has no other choice then to stop. Council member Leah gasps and I look at her shrugging my shoulders. I walk over to Lily to assess the damage done to her.
- It looks like her arm is broken and I see bruises forming in her face. I look next to me, and Council member Leah is furious. She holds out her hand and leaves it hovering over Lily’s arm, a bright white light appears and within seconds Lily’s arm is fixed and her bruises are gone.
- Looks like our Council member has a gift of her own. In the Shifter world it is known that Shifters can have gifts. It is almost always the female Shifters that have the gift, rarely ever has there been a male Shifter with a gift.
- Lily looks at her arm and then at Council member Leah. “Thank you.” She whispers, then she turns and walks away. Council member Leah and I continue our walk back to the Pack-house in silence.
- Both of us contemplating the others secret. Before we enter the Pack-house I mind-link her and tell her that her secret is safe with me. She ensures me that my secret is save with her as well.
