Chapter 6

  • "What are you going to do, Arturo? Are you going to be behind Hailey now?"
  • "She is my employee, she belongs to me!"
  • "Are you listening to yourself?" Arturo said, a little worried. "She is a very sweet girl, you're going to hurt her."
  • "Just shut up and order the best drink they have in this dump."
  • Paulo came back with the drink.
  • "At least something more or less good, let's have a drink while we watch."
  • "There are many women here looking at you."
  • "I don't give a shit."
  • "Who would have thought that Hailey would steal your heart?"
  • "You're crazy, I just want to take her to bed."
  • "If you hurt her, you'll have to deal with me."
  • "Our friendship is worth more than that woman."
  • "That woman, as you call her, has suffered a lot in this life."
  • "Oh, come on, I don't want to hear your sermons."
  • The two men started drinking.
  • "Hailey, is it just me or is the boss constantly looking at you?" Iliana said.
  • "You're crazy! That man hates me, understand? He hates me, he would never notice me."
  • "Come on, don't say that, you're beautiful, very beautiful."
  • "Thanks Iliana, you too. It's good to have a friend like you."
  • "I think the same, I've been so alone in this world. My only family is Rosita, Chelsito, Luis, and you. Even though we're not related by blood, I have a special affection for all of you."
  • "We're without parents, Iliana, you and me. But we have people who care about us."
  • "You're right. Hey, why don't you drink? And why are you so nervous?"
  • "I don't drink because I've never done it before."
  • "And why are you right? The boss is looking at you a lot."
  • "I told you."
  • "Maybe he's looking at you."
  • Iliana burst into laughter. "What are you saying, little girl? I'm going to tell you something."
  • "Tell me?"
  • "I'm a lesbian."
  • "What?"
  • "Yes, but lower your voice, don't tell anyone yet, I haven't come out of the closet, but the boss knows."
  • "Why are you telling me?"
  • "Well, once I had to go to his penthouse to fix the terrace plants, both real and artificial. Two very hot women entered, and as I was staring at them, he waited for the women to enter his room and said to me, 'What are you looking at? Do you want to join us? Or do you like women?'"
  • "And what did you say?" Hailey asked, intrigued.
  • "Well, I said... 'Mr. Arturo, you have very good taste.'"
  • "He looked at me and said, 'I understand...'"
  • "That was it."
  • "Wow, well, I'll keep your secret."
  • "Thanks, Hailey. Why don't we go dancing?"
  • "I'm embarrassed."
  • "Oh, come on, girl. Let's go out more often. Let's wait for the guys to come and invite them to dance."
  • On the dance floor...
  • "You move really well, Hailey."
  • "Oh, Chelsito, you make me even more embarrassed."
  • "Have a drink and that's it," Iliana said.
  • "Yes, Hailey, for our friendship," Luis said.
  • "Okay, fine, but just one, nothing more."
  • "Hey, why do they serve me so much?"
  • "It's just one drink, right? Well, let's make it worth it. Bottoms up!" Iliana said.
  • Hailey took the shot of vodka and her throat burned a lot. She started coughing.
  • "Relax, you'll get used to it," Luis said.
  • "Wow, guys, this really burns."
  • "I heard electronic music, let's go back to the dance floor."
  • Hailey felt more relaxed and started dancing, jumping, and singing. She was having a great time.
  • "Why are we just going to stand here all night?" Paulo spoke, bored.
  • "If you want, you can leave."
  • "Arturo, my friend, why don't you admit it?"
  • "Shut up. Look at those two bitches, she wants to be fucked. Go ahead, do it."
  • "As you wish, boss," said Paulo excitedly.
  • Arturo was left alone at the table, of course, he has plenty of security at his disposal, just very discreet.
  • "Can I get you anything else, Mr. Sele?" asked a waitress.
  • "Another bottle," he replied.
  • "As you wish, handsome."
  • "Ordinary women," Arturo thought to himself.
  • He watched Hailey until he saw her go to the bathroom, and discreetly followed her. When she finished urinating, he opened the door.
  • And Arturo entered.
  • "What are you doing, sir?" she asked, frightened.
  • "What are you doing, Hailey? Why are you dressed like that?"
  • "Like what, sir? What's your problem with me?"
  • "You look like a slut dressed like that."
  • Hailey looked at him with hatred.
  • "You know what, sir? Fuck off."
  • "What did you say?"
  • "I said what I heard. I'm tired of your insults, humiliations. You think you're the owner of the world when you're just another fucking human being made of flesh and bones. The day you die, you won't take anything with you to the grave."
  • "I don't give a shit. As long as I'm in this world, I won't stop being who I am, whether people like it or not."
  • "You're an abuser, selfish for entering the bathroom like that."
  • Arturo remained silent, containing his anger, and punched the wall. Hailey jumped in fright.
  • "Leave me alone!" she shouted.
  • Arturo covered her mouth when he heard two women enter, talking about Arturo Villareal while touching up their makeup.
  • The women left the bathroom.
  • Arturo removed his hand from Hailey's mouth.
  • "They're too close," he whispered.
  • "What's wrong with you?" Hailey asked, annoyed.
  • Arturo stared at her and kissed her.
  • She was surprised and tried to keep up with the kiss.
  • But she abruptly pushed him away.
  • "What are you doing? Are you crazy?"
  • "You're very rude."
  • "Why? Because you're my boss? We're not in your mansion or your penthouse, so you can't give me orders. We're outside of work."
  • "Wherever we are, I'm your boss, and you should treat me with respect."
  • "Respect, sir, is not asked for, it is earned, and you are too rude."
  • "Take off the dress."
  • "What?"
  • "What you heard."
  • "Do you think that just because I'm wearing this dress, I'm the same as all those sluts you sleep with? You're very mistaken. I am a decent woman."
  • "Haha, of course, don't play hard to get. You'll end up winning by having me between your legs."
  • Hailey pushed him forcefully.
  • "You're a pathetic, sexist man. One day, you'll have to swallow your words."
  • She tried to leave but couldn't.
  • "Give me permission."
  • "You're not leaving until I say so."
  • "You know what? Go to hell."
  • "That's it, show your claws, so saintly, so shy, but you're just like all the others."
  • Hailey approached him and kneed him in his groin, making him tremble in pain.
  • She got closer to him and said, "Pathetic man."
  • "What happened to you, Hailey? I was worried about you, I almost went to look for you," Iliana said.
  • "I had an incident, but I'm fine," Hailey replied.
  • "You're red, are you sure you're okay?"
  • Hailey saw Arturo go up the stairs and onto the terrace.
  • "I'm fine."
  • "Hailey, that's enough. Don't drink anymore," Chelsito said.
  • "You guys wanted it, and now that I'm doing it, you're stopping me."
  • "But look at you, you can't even stand up, and it's only your fourth drink," Luis said.
  • "That's why four is not enough."
  • "But girl, you drink all the time. It's your first time, you have no experience," Iliana said.
  • "I'm fine!" Hailey looked back at the terrace, and there was Arturo.
  • "Let's go dance so you can sober up a bit," Chelsito suggested.
  • But it was a mistake; the lights in the club made her even more dizzy.
  • "Okay, guys, that's enough. Let's go," Chelsito said.
  • Both Luis and Iliana agreed, but Hailey didn't want to leave.
  • But they dragged her out of the bar against her will.
  • "Now we have to find a taxi at this hour."
  • "Get in my other car," Arturo said with a cold and powerful voice.
  • "Yes, Mr. Arturo, don't worry, we don't want to bother you," Chelsito replied.
  • "Are you going to the mansion? Then get in that car."
  • "Let's go, Hailey," Iliana said.
  • "She's coming with me," Arturo ordered.
  • Luis, Iliana, and Chelsito looked at each other.
  • "Is there a problem?" Arturo asked, very annoyed.
  • "Boss, she came with us and she's leaving with us," Luis said respectfully.
  • "And so it shall be. The car you're in can't fit any more people because the security guards are also there, so don't waste my time and get in the car."
  • The three nodded.
  • "What does the bossy man want?"
  • "Hailey, you're taken, that's why I'm paying attention to your words."
  • "Bossy, bossy, bitter," Hailey said repeatedly.
  • Seeing that the car where the others were had left, he picked up Hailey and put her in his private car.
  • "What are you doing, let me go!"
  • "Stay still, Hailey."
  • He left her in the car and then got in himself.
  • "What are you doing? Why are you doing this?"
  • "I'm just doing you a favor."
  • "You? A heartless person, please, all you do is make fun of me. I may be drunk, but I'm still in my right mind."
  • Arturo approached and kissed her. After hearing her sigh, he said,
  • "Let's go to my apartment."
  • "No!"
  • "What?" he said, surprised.
  • "I'm not a whore, understand? I won't go to that room where you sleep with all those women."
  • "Are you jealous?"
  • "Pff, jealous of you? What for? You think too highly of yourself, but for me, you're just my boss, nothing more."
  • "You're lying."
  • He kissed her again.
  • And then he said,
  • "Santos, take me to the main hotel."
  • (It's a high-class hotel)
  • Hailey remained silent.
  • When they entered the room,
  • Arturo pushed her against the door, held her fragile hands up, and started kissing her desperately.
  • They separated because she could hardly breathe anymore.
  • "Do you want to sleep with me just to make fun of me?" Hailey asked with a bitter smile.
  • "And what's wrong with a one-night stand?"
  • "There are many women who would die to be with you, and you're wasting your time here."
  • He smiled bitterly and said,
  • "You should be happy because I have a little compassion for you and I'm going to have you."
  • "What? Seriously?" Hailey broke free from him and ran to the bathroom, locking herself in.
  • "Seriously, you're going to behave like a child. That's what you are and you won't stop being immature."
  • "I'd rather be like this," she shouted. "Not a despicable person like you. Stay away from me, I don't want to sleep with you."
  • "All women want it, so don't make it difficult."
  • "You're pathetic!" she shouted. She turned on the shower since the door was locked, took off her dress and underwear.
  • She let the warm water fall on her body. Tears started to flow one after another.
  • Falling in love for the first time with a man as cruel as Arturo Villareal.
  • He didn't beg anymore, he left the hotel, paid, and went in search of company.
  • In his apartment, he was drinking desperately.
  • He felt frustrated that Hailey treated him like that and rejected him.
  • A woman arrived, Maria, a highly sought-after escort in New York.
  • "I'm glad you called me, I've been waiting."
  • "Stop talking and undress, do your job."
  • "As you wish, boss."
  • He took her and unleashed all his anger on her, but he didn't feel satisfied.
  • He was like a demon.
  • "Do you like it?" she said, seductively.
  • "Get dressed and leave."
  • "What?"
  • "Are you deaf or what?"
  • "You're crazy, there are many men wanting to sleep with me. I rejected them and came to you, and this is how you repay me."
  • "You're a whore, I paid for your service, there's nothing more to say, now leave."
  • "Damn bastard."
  • "Yes, just go away."
  • She slammed the door shut.
  • He poured himself another drink and lit a cigarette. As he remembered Hailey, he threw the delicate glass against the wall.
  • "AAAAAAA!" he screamed in anger, and called on his cellphone.
  • "Hello, Santos. Has Hailey left?" Arturo asked through the phone call.
  • "Mr. Arturo, the young lady hasn't left the room."
  • "Is something wrong with her?"
  • "The maid left and found her sleeping in bed."
  • "Okay."
  • Hailey, you will regret rejecting me and igniting this damn addiction I feel for you.
  • The next day...
  • Hailey woke up with an unbearable headache.
  • She looked around and realized she was alone, remembering certain things.
